Specialized Goals
After this unit, you will be able to:
- Language: - Memorize, understand and generalize words and phrases related to online learning and some electronic devices that can help us learn; give some examples using these vocabularies.
- Determine and give the correct stress in three-syllable adjectives and verbs.
- Determine when to apply Defining and Non-defining clauses with ‘who’, ‘that’, ‘which’ and ‘whose’; apply Relative clauses into your exercises to improve sentence-level grammatical accuracy.
- Skills: - Read for general ideas; realize the key word and specific information in the reading text about new ways to learn English
- Give a mini talk, express your personal views about how electronic devices can help us learn English
- Listen and comprehend an audio talking about instructions on how to access and use online English language materials, realize key words while listening.
- Write a simple, short passage of about 120-150 words expressing personal views and opinions about the advantages of using electronic devices as learning tools.
Prerequisites
To facilitate the achievement of the objectives set out in this unit, participants need to complete unit 7 first.
