Specialized goals

After this topic, students will be able to:

  • Language focus: To help learners get started with some language items in Unit 1

     - For pronunciation, that is how to pronounce /kl/, /pl/. /gr/, /pr/

               - For vocabulary, that is words and phrases related to human activities and the environment

     - For grammar, that is the distinction between the future with will and be going to and the correct usage of passive voice.

  • Skills: To help learners get started with 4 skills in Unit 1

     - Reading: Reading for main ideas and specific information in a text about green living

     - Speaking: Talking about ways to live green 

     - Listening: Listening for specific information in an announcement about a green event 

     - Writing: Writing about ways to improve the environment

Prerequisites

To facilitate the achievement of the objectives set out in this topic, participants need to meet the following prerequisites:

  • Completion of Unit 1;
  • Mastering basic computer skills

The activities required to be performed in this topic are as follows:
